Celebrate Black History Month with us at Clovis Community College! We're excited to begin the month with an Opening Ceremony filled with engaging activities and featuring special guest Brandon "Griot B" Brown, Founder and CEO of School Yard Rap. Join us as we honor the legacy, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans in a vibrant and welcoming community event. Reception and light refreshments to follow.

Join us as we kick off Black History Month with a cozy, creative event of hot cocoa and painting with our very own Ms. Audia Dixion. Sip on delicious cocoa, unleash your inner artist, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage that inspires and unites us all. Free hot chocolate and art supplies will be provided to all those who attend!

Colonel AllensworthEmbracing Our Shared Stories: Black History Month Event at Colonel Allensworth

Join us for a day of learning and reflection at Colonel Allensworth, the first town in California founded, financed, and governed by African Americans. The event will highlight the cultural wealth of the Central Valley and provide insights into our local historical context. 30 student* and 5 staff/faculty spots** are available and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Transportation and lunch will be provided by the CCC BAASE Program. African American Read-In7th Annual African American Read-In

The National African American Read-In is the nation's first and oldest event dedicated to diversity in literature. Participants have 5 minutes to read from literary work by a Black author or writer. You can read a favorite poem or poems, an excerpt from an essay or article, music lyrics, a short story, or even something from a children’s book.
