Orientation
New Student Orientation
After completion of the admissions application, all new students are required to complete the "New Student Orientation." The orientation will help you become familiar with college life, understand what is expected from you as a student, and learn about college programs and services that will help you succeed in college.
The orientation will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete. We encourage you to carefully review each section of the orientation as it will provide you with valuable information to help you succeed in college.
Please note:
- The Online Orientation will be available for RTG students beginning December 2nd at 7:00 a.m. You will receive information at a later time on how to access the online orientation. Please note, if you complete the existing online orientation prior to December 2nd at 7:00 a.m., you will not receive credit for the orientation.
- If you currently have an orientation hold, completing the orientation will clear your orientation hold within 2 business days, Monday - Friday.
- Dual enrollment students (high school students attending college courses) should not complete the orientation until you apply as a first-time student (first time attending after high school graduation). Completing the orientation before you apply as a first-time student will negatively impact your priority registration date as a first-time student.

After completing the orientation you will receive a confirmation email to your SCCCD student Email account.
In April, you will receive an email informing you of your registration day and time that has been assigned to you based on your orientation completion date.
