Step 1 - Submit the FAFSA or CADAA

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Federal School Code - 042534

The FAFSA is for US/Naturalized Citizens, or Permanent Residents. 

Both the student and their parent (if applicable) are required to use an FSA ID, made up of a username and password, to electronically sign the FAFSA.  The FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and federal student aid documents. To create an FSA ID, please visit the FSA ID Website.

Then submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

You will need 2022 income information to fill out the 2024-2025 FAFSA.  This will be used to determine eligibility for Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 terms.

You will need 2023 income information to fill out the 2025-2026 FAFSA.  This will be used to determine eligibility for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 terms.

California Dream Act Application (CADAA)

The CADAA is for undocumented, AB540 eligible students or FAFSA eligible students with parents/spouse that don't have a social security number. 

Submit the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) to be processed by the California Student Aid Commission.   

You will need 2022 income information to fill out the 2024-2025 CADAA.  This will be used to determine eligibility for Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 terms.

You will need 2023 income information to fill out the 2025-2026 CADAA.  This will be used to determine eligibility for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 terms.

Step 2 - Complete your Financial Aid File

Check your CCC student email regularly. 

The CCC Financial Aid Office will notify you if you need to submit documentation to the CCC Financial Aid Office, and when your Financial Aid Offer Letter is ready to view.

Check your Self Service. 

On Self Service through your SCCCD Portal, you can view your Financial Aid Offer Letter, see if anything is missing, and sign up for a direct deposit.

Important Dates and Deadlines

  • December, 2024: 2025-2026 FAFSA & Dream Act Application Opened
  • March 2, 2025: 2025-2026 CCC Scholarship Application Deadline. Click Clovis Community College Scholarships for more information.
  • March 2, 2025: 2025-2026 FAFSA & Dream Act Application Deadline for initial Cal Grant awards.
  • June 30, 2025: 2024-2025 FAFSA & Dream Act Application Deadline
  • September 2, 2025: Deadline for Competitive Cal Grant awards for the 2025-2026 academic year.
