Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park, Earlimart, CA
Join us for a day of learning and reflection at Colonel Allensworth, the first town in California founded, financed, and governed by African Americans. The event will highlight the cultural wealth of the Central Valley and provide insights into our local historical context.
The Black & African American Student Engagement (BAASE) Program will provide FREE lunch and transportation to and from the park. The bus will depart from the AC1 roundabout at 8:30 am and will return to campus at 4 pm.
30 student* and 5 staff/faculty spots are available and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Approved/signed travel and conference forms are required to reserve a spot.
*Students must be currently enrolled to attend and must submit a SCCCD Field Trip/Excursion Form. Students can stop by the CCC Student Activities Center in AC1-160 to pick up a form. Please return a completed/signed copy of the SCCCD Field Trip/Excursion Form to the Student Activities Center in AC1 160 prior to departure.
