Engineering Renaissance Club
Our Mission
The Engineering Renaissance is a club geared towards promoting excellence in STEM and higher education. Our mission is to further STEM in the valley and showcase Clovis Community College internationally. With our collaborative efforts, we will continue to show that Crush has depth. As 1st place winners of the 2024 MATE ROV Pioneer Class World Championship, we have already taken steps to ensure that our mark is felt on national and international levels, and we intend to do so again this year in the Explorer Class.
Main Focuses
Competitions
Our club is actively involved in doing competitions, the main competition being ROV MATE. In general, the competitions focus on aspects of design, prototyping, and testing.
Skill Development
Members gain hands-on experience with engineering concepts, CAD software (such as Solidworks), programming, and other technical skills useful for their careers.
Collaboration & Networking
The club provides opportunities to work in different subteams, connect with like-minded peers, and build relationships that could help in future academic and professional pursuits.
