Why Study Kinesiology at CCC

We are in an exciting time in history where the value of health and fitness is undoubtedly linked to your overall well-being and quality of life. Kinesiology is the study of human movement, which would provide you with the necessary tools and understanding to advocate for lifetime involvement in physical activity for all people.

If you choose to study Kinesiology at Clovis Community College, you’d have the opportunity to enter into a diverse field of academic study and practical application that would allow you to pursue studies and careers in a variety of disciplines.

The Department offers an Associates in Arts degree for Transfer in Kinesiology. The course load, including General Education courses, is completed in two years and prepares you to transfer into four-year Kinesiology programs.

Philosophy

The Kinesiology department at Clovis Community College focuses on giving students a strong foundation in the study of physical education, exercise science, and sport.

Career Opportunities

Kinesiology majors offer a variety of different career paths. While a two-year degree would be adequate for some entry-level positions such as a sales and tour guide, most of the types of careers shown above would require completion of a bachelor’s degree to make the prospective applicant competitive in the job market. Other, more specialized positions would require a graduate degree (M.A., Ph. D.)
