Summer Reading
Whether it is on the beach, in your own backyard, or in the comfort of AC, there’s nothing like summer for reading a book. The library has an extensive collection for all your reading desires. Go to Libby to explore our audio and eBook compilations. You can read about LGBTQ+ heroes who changed the world in The Book of Pride or listen to the queer coming of age novel Young Mungo. Curious about our staff picks? They range from Hakeem Oluseyi’s memoir A Quantum Life to Peng Shepherd’s thriller novel The Cartographers. Or come visit us at the library and check out a physical book!
LGBTQ+ Pride Month
LGBTQ+ Pride Month is celebrated every year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. The library is proud to feature a display of books in the library plus a research guide and an online collection available through our library catalog.
A Selection of Collections
In addition to LGBTQ+, the library catalog collections also feature Black Heritage, Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage, Biology Summer Reading Recommendations, and a College Writing collection to help you with school papers. Keep an eye out for more collections being added in the next couple of months.
