The National African American Read-In is the nation’s first and oldest event dedicated to diversity in literature. Participants have 5 minutes to read from literary work by a Black author or writer. You can read a favorite poem or poems, an excerpt from an essay or article, music lyrics, a short story, or even something from a children’s book.
Events at Clovis Community College are free and open to the public. Free parking in Student stalls only.

Students will have the opportunity to listen to panelists talk about their journeys, and how they navigate the corporate environment and receive career advice. |
San Francisco Day Trip – Museum of African Diaspora | 2/24/2023 | 6:30 am - 7:00 pm | San Francisco, CA | Join us as we aspire for excellence and honor Black History Month with a day trip to San Francisco to visit the Museum of African Diaspora and take a campus tour of San Francisco State University. We have space for 30 CCC students to participate. Please use the SF trip sign-up form to reserve your spot. Admission, transportation, and lunch will be provided.
