Congratulations, Class of 2024!

Commencement is on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. outdoors on campus.

Your name will be announced as you walk across the stage to receive your diploma tube. You will also have your photo taken during the ceremony which will be available after graduation.

Steps to Participate

Students who anticipate meeting degree and/or certificate requirements by the end of a term need to submit a degree application for the degree in Self-Service by the stated deadline for that term. Failure to apply before the final deadline will delay the granting of the degree/certificate to the end of the next term.

To be eligible to participate in commencement, complete the steps below. Any deadlines listed below are subject to change – check your SCCCD student email regularly for important notifications.

Associate Degrees are not granted automatically when students complete the requirements

Where To Go

Our commencement ceremony will be held outdoors at Clovis Community College on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the main campus located at 10309 N. Willow Ave., Fresno, CA., 93730 on the grass area at the corner of Willow Ave. and International Ave.

Commencement Guest Information

  • Parking is free for guests in any of the CCC lots off International Ave and our newest parking lot on Chestnut Ave. The parking lots off of Willow and Behymer are also for guests but will close at 5:15pm.
  • If you are parking in the lots located along International or Chestnut Ave. please walk on the sidewalks along International Ave. to avoid walking through passenger drop-offs.
  • Families with guests who cannot walk long distances can utilize our passenger drop-off locations in the roundabouts indicated on the map. Carts will be available to shuttle passengers from the drop-off locations to the ceremony drop-off location.

  • Tickets are NOT required and guest seating is first-come, first-served.
  • IMPORTANT: Temperatures are expected to be in the 90’s. Please note that the ceremony is in a grassy location without shade. We ask that you please plan accordingly. Water will be available while supplies last. Guests are encouraged to bring water or any other non-alcoholic beverages to stay hydrated. Free water will be available along with other food and beverages for sale.
  • In addition to the seating area for guests, there is also a large grass area if guests wish to bring their own chairs and umbrellas.
  • Shade umbrellas, balloons, and signage cannot block the view of other guests. We ask that you please lower umbrellas, balloons, and signage at the beginning of the ceremony. No canopies will be allowed.
  • There will be no pets allowed at the graduation site with the exception of emotional support or service animals.

  • There will be a section designated for guests with wheelchairs. We recommend families arrive early to ensure guests with limited mobility can be accommodated.
  • Live ASL interpreters will appear on our screens.
  • The ceremony will be livestreamed in room AC2-178 and AC2-179 for individuals who attend in person but wish to stay out of the heat.

  • Guests will not be permitted to approach the stage or graduate seating area to take pictures/video.
  • The official posed photo will be available for purchase from Larson Brothers Photography.
  • Several photograph areas will be set up around the event site to celebrate following the ceremony.

  • The ceremony will be livestreamed in room AC2-178 and 179 for those wanting to watch from indoors.
  • For those who wish to watch the ceremony at home, the ceremony will be livestreamed online on Facebook and Youtube

  • Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the Crush Café from 5:00-9:00 PM. Food trucks will also be on campus offering treats and small bites.
  • Gifts and flowers can be purchased under the canopy located near the library.
