Week of January 13, 2025

Good morning, all, and happy first day of the semester!

It was wonderful to walk through hallways with students milling about even in the 8 o'clock hour today! It's nice to have folks back on campus and to experience the wonderful energy of all those present.

Clovis enrollment is up from last fall, and we have exceeded our targets for the semester and for the year. Enrollment has also grown districtwide, which is great news. I want to send a big thank you to Outreach and to Counseling for all their hard work in helping to assure this result! You've worked hard, including with the final push last week, and the results we are experiencing are indicative of that effort! I am grateful for the work of everyone on both teams. I know the deans in consultation with their vice presidents will continue to collaborate on addressing any gaps in scheduling, especially as they finalize the summer and fall schedules.

The work of the instructional team and in the classroom began long before today but is put into play starting today. I'm sending my best to you all!

Wishing everyone a wonderful spring semester! I know time will fly and commencement will be here sooner than we know, so I hope you enjoy each joyful and reward-filled moment along the way!
