Office of Administrative Services Update - November 2024

Update from Interim Vice President, Kim Duong

November feels like it flew by!

I spent the first couple weeks of the month as administrator in charge for Monica and attended a few meetings on her behalf.

There were a lot of events happening in November. I attended the Fresno Chamber of Commerce Ag Awards, Fresno County Women’s Chamber of Commerce Luncheon, SCCC Foundation Heritage Society Dinner, and the Fresno Center’s 28th Annual Giving Thanks banquet.

Staffing Updates:

Business Office

The Business Office welcomed back Judson at the end of November. We are happy to have him back!

I conducted interviews for the Business Office Manager at the beginning of November with Madera Community College Vice President Matthew Richmond. We made the decision to select Desiree Encinas who happily accepted the position with an official start date of November 25th. Desiree will carry the same schedule I had and will be working at Clovis Monday, Thursday, and Friday while working at Madera Tuesday and Wednesday.

Building Services Updates:

Sergio will be out of the office for the month of December. If there is anything urgent that you would normally contact Sergio for, please reach out to either Susan Jones or me and we can route to the appropriate building services team member that is on site at the time.

AC-3 Updates:

My update for AC-3 is light this month. The contractors continued to work on the punch list and worked during the November break.
