Hispanic Heritage Month
National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15. Clovis Community College invites you to the celebration from September 16 through September 27 with the theme “Corazón de Nuestra Cultura.” The library has a special Hispanic Heritage Month research guide to connect you to this celebratory month with books, videos, music, websites, and other resources. For more books, explore our Hispanic Heritage Collection or the special library display.
Banned Books Week
Banned Books Week brings together book lovers in support of the freedom to read. The theme for 2024 (September 22-28) is "Freed Between the Lines." We can find freedom within the pages of a book, but book challenges, bans, and censorship threaten that freedom. Get more information by visiting the BBW library guide and the Banned and Challenged Books collection. Share the love of reading and the freedom found in the pages of books by checking out a book from the BBW library display.
