On Monday, May 2, Clovis Community College held a groundbreaking event for the new Applied Technology Building. This building project is funded by Measure C with matching funds from the state bond program (CA Prop 51).
The event was very successful with many welcomed guests who enjoyed the ceremony and refreshments. Visit our CCC Facebook page or the SCCCD YouTube page for more videos and postings.
In 2016, Measure C passed with overwhelming support bringing new and modernized buildings to all State Center Community College District colleges and centers.
Seals Construction has been awarded the contract to build the facility and Darden Architects designed the building. Visit the Darden Architects Blog for more information. The project is scheduled for completion during the fall of 2023. The Applied Technology Building will be 68,500 square feet and cost about $45 million to build and is expected to be finished in the late Fall of 2023.
Various CTE (Career Technology Education) programs will be housed in the state-of-the-art building including mechatronics, occupational therapy assistant, and digital and commercial music. It will also house large group instruction classes, faculty and administration offices, student study spaces, lecture classrooms, and meeting rooms.
Clovis Community College is a college of the State Center Community College District (SCCCD) which also includes Fresno City College, Reedley College, Madera Community College, Madera Community College at Oakhurst, and the Career and Technology Center.
