For the last several semesters, the tutors have selected a service project to support our local community. We are so grateful that you chose to join us in this semester's project. Your contributions will directly serve the victims of domestic abuse.
We had about 25-30 people at the in-person event and many more contributed to gift cards. We are so incredibly grateful for the turnout and the generosity of our colleagues!
"Please share our gratitude with the staff and students that participated - their efforts give an opportunity for discussion, raise awareness and encourage the connection with friends and family to talk about healthy forms of expression and healthy relationships at all ages. These kinds of conversations help remove the stigma of getting help for those who experience domestic violence and will be what helps to end the cycle of violence in our community.
I’m inspired and touched by the compassion of our young people, their families, and our education community – coming together in support of the adults and children affected by domestic violence is touching the lives of those impacted, bringing comfort and helping to make their healing journey a more positive and secure transition to a brighter tomorrow.
They should be proud that they are doing something that is making a positive change for the future!
I’m always here and available to answer questions and connect, if there is anything else I can assist with. Please feel free to reach out, and feel free to share my contact information with anyone that has questions about supporting the Center, our families, or learning more about our services."
