The book, “Forever Home: A Dog’s Tale,” is a delightful story about learning to embrace the things that make us unique. The book takes readers on a journey of a sweet little puppy who differs from his brothers and sisters and discovers whether or not he will find his forever home despite his distinct appearance. Ms. Allen says,
“After all, wouldn't the world be a very boring place if we were all exactly the same?”

“I have wanted to write a children's book for as long as I can remember. When COVID hit, I had more time on my hands, and the story came to me. So, I began to write. I wanted to self-publish the book myself, so I could have control of every single piece to the puzzle. I went through countless edits, sending the story to friends, family, children, even the SPCA. I wanted to get a variety of opinions before I moved forward. I then went on a deep dive of illustrators, and found the PERFECT fit... all the way from Scottland! I learned so much throughout the process, and am so incredibly thankful to have completed it!”
