- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, after blowing our nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Always wash hands before touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects using regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
- Get a flu shot to protect yourself and others from flu, which has similar symptoms to COVID-19
- Cover your cough or sneeze.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- If you plan to obtain medical care for symptoms of fever, cough, and shortness of breath, call your medical provider and inform them of your symptoms before your visit.
The CDC does not recommend that people who are well, wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
