Police Chief Jose Flores introduced SCCCD officer Robert Kifer who is a FCC grad and comes to us from Lompoc Police Department
Chancellor introduced new Student Trustee Farhan Mohammadi who is a Clovis student
Chancellor recognized Charles Francis who is retiring after nearly 20 years with SCCCD

- Review of New Draft Board Policy 6350 “Local and Diverse Procurement”

Approved the following:
- Academic and classified personnel transactions, as submitted
- New position of permanent part-time Instructional Laboratory Technician – General Science, MCCC
- New position of limited-term Workshops, Seminars and Conferences Coordinator, FCC
- Agreement with Reward Strategy Group for a classification and compensation study of classified positions, districtwide
- College and Career Access Partnership Agreement (AB288 Dual Enrollment)
- Agreement for Implementation of the Central Valley Promise Initiative
- The Madera County School Boards Association 2017-18 proposed budget

Approved the following bids:
- No. 1718-01 to Strategic Mechanical, Inc., for replacing air handlers at the Speech-Music Building, Language Arts Building, Library, Gym, and Art Home Economics Building, FCC
Adopted the following resolutions:
- No. 2017.18, authorizing transfer of district reserves for extension of supplemental police contract services and purchase of new officer equipment
- No. 2017.15, authorizing agreement with CDE for Child Care and Development Block Grant, Preschool Program, FCC
- No. 2017.16, authorizing agreement with CDE for Child Care and Development Block Grant, General Child Development Program, FCC
- No. 2017.17, authorizing agreement with California Department of Rehabilitation for the Workability III Program, RC
Issued an honorary degree to Kayla Foster from FCC
Accepted completed construction projects, as presented:
