Held a Public Hearing for the College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) Partnership Agreements

Approved the following grant agreement recommendations:

Clovis Community College has received a new $99,388 grant from the California Virtual Campus to improve Online CTE Pathways.

The District Office has been approved as the Central Mother Lode Regional Consortium fiscal agent for the K12 Strong Workforce Program (K12-SWP) regional allocation on behalf of the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office. The majority of the funding will be passed through to local education agencies in our region and $22,695,114 coming to the Consortium/District.

Fresno City College has received a $70,440 and $393,661 renewal agreement from the California Department of Education to provide child care expenses for students who qualify.

Fresno City College received a $530,682 renewal agreement from the California Department of Education to continue the California Professional Nutrition Education and Training (Cal-Pro-Net) Center. The funding will provide training opportunities and educational resources to adult day care centers and child care centers, day care home sponsoring agencies, and emergency shelters.

Fresno City College has received a $109,955 renewal agreement from the California Department of Education. The continual funding is for the California Professional Nutrition Education and Training (Cal-Pro-Net) Center at Fresno City College to develop and provide specialized instructional programs for child nutrition personnel at the production, supervisory, and administrative levels.

Fresno City College has received a $67,654 renewal agreement with the California Department of Education Nutrition Service Division to provide the California Professional Nutrition Education and Training Center at Fresno City College the resources to maintain the website content and track website activity, and technical assistance to site users.

Fresno City College was awarded a $113,636 grant from the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office for the currently and formerly incarcerated students reentry program.

Clovis Community College has received an amended agreement from the University of California, Merced for the development of the Small Business Development Center. It is a $220,000 award.


The report from Closed Session included:

The Board unanimously approved a purchase agreement for real property located at 1805 through 1835 North Blackstone Avenue, Fresno, California for a total purchase price of $1,560,000.

The Board moved to approve an advance up to $3.72 million to the EdCare JPA.

The Board of Trustees approved an increase to the confidential, classified management, academic management, general counsel, and vice chancellors salary schedule by 1/2 of the statutory cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) plus 0.75%, which is equal to 2.38%, retroactive to July 1, 2019, and approved a one-time, off-schedule payment for 2019-20 of 0.50%, to be paid in two installments, the first in December and the second in July, all of which is consistent with what was negotiated with CSEA and POA. There is no recommended change to the Health and Welfare benefit.

Based on satisfactory performance evaluations, each vice chancellor will receive their annual step increase on the salary schedule, and the Chancellor is recommending extending the contracts for all four vice chancellors through June 30, 2022.

The contracts for all of the presidents will be extended through 2022.

The Chancellor received a four-year contract commencing on July 1, 2019.
